Bell Bottoms

Bell Bottoms

There are a few pieces of clothes I have traumatic memories and childhood pictures of. Bell bottoms used to belong to this category. But something changed and I had to try these pants again…

My dear ones,

I wanted to publish this post yesterday, but I honestly had mixed feelings. There are clothes that are just easy to wear (e.g. capes, oversized knit) and there are pieces that we might have loved years ago and seeing these pieces again simply brings up mixed feelings. As a child I dressed up really freaky and I’m still thankful that my Mum allowed me to play around with my ideas because it might have been helpful for the development of my creativity!;) At age 13 I was crazy about bell bottoms. At age 15 I couldn’t look at the pictures of me in those pants anymore because it just felt wrong… and that’s how I felt about bell bottoms (and wide pants in general) for a long time. But when I was able to chose an item from Shopbop I immediately felt for today’s bell bottoms. Still, I was not too sure whether to show you the pictures or not – Knowing that you might have the same kind of creapy memories regarding bell bottoms I used to have. Well, I hope you do not judge me – the next looks will be less risky!;)

Have you experienced a similar change of feelings regarding a piece of clothing? I would love to hear about it!

xx Leonie

Echt Super! 🙂
Ganz liebe Grüße aus dem sonnigen Breslau!

Hallo Leonie, wow was für ein tolles Outfit. So schön kombiniert, da fühlt man sich gleich inspiriert. Die Hose ist ja mal der Oberhammer. Das wunderschöne Tuch rundet alles super ab. Bin begeistert. LG

I don’t think bell bottom looked that bad! lol. I didn’t grow up wearing bell bottoms but I grew up wearing flare pants which is kind of similar and I find the most difficult thing to work with because when I was younger I had a smaller frame so it looked huge on me! lol. good times

p.s. I’m convinced that you have great taste in scarves
