During my time in Paris, I participated in the “ImPerfect” campaign by Esprit.

I love the whole approach of the campaign, showing pictures which are imperfectly perfect. Even as a child, I’ve always loved doing things my way. When everyone played barbies, I collected play mobile – When my friends loved pink, I chose blue as my favorite color. Doing things differently is not always the easiest way to get through live, but I personally feel very attracted to people who are special and who are imperfectly perfect.
Alex and I shot today’s look at place Vendome. When looking at the pictures you might think it was a perfectly sunny day. Well, in fact it mostly was a grey and windy day and I covered from the wind again and again in order to wait for the sun to come out – The weather was truly not perfect and most of the time I felt like Cameron Diaz in ‘There is something about Mary” with my hair standing straight up, but I was in Paris and there shouldn’t be way more to ask for!;) I was wearing a fun patchwork jeans by Esprit and a long fringy cardigan, which I wrapped around my wrist when it became warmer. I found the heels in Milan during the Paula Cademartori showroom and I felt 100% for them.
Today’s post is ll about being yourself and as I’ve never shared 10 random facts about me, I think today is about time to do so!:) If you want to hear more, I have sooooo many random facts to tell – I was told I could make a book out of it quite a few times! 😉 xx Leonie
Während meiner Zeit in Paris hatte ich die Chance Teil der “ImPerfect” Kampagne von Esprit zu sein. Mir gefällt der Ansatz der Kampagne unheimlich gut – Mut haben man selbst zu sein, für das eigene Glück einzustehen und dabei nicht immer perfekt sein wollen. Ich war schon als Kind sehr eigensinnig. Wenn alle rosa mochten, dann mochte ich blau – Wenn die anderen Mädchen reiten gegangen sind, habe ich lieber Playmobil gespielt. Und in Sachen Kleidung habe ich mich mein Leben lang voll ausgelebt. Häufig ist es nicht der einfachste Weg gegen den Strom zu schwimmen und eine starke eigene Meinung zu vertreten, aber ich persönlich fühle mich immer sehr angezogen von aufregenden, besonderen Menschen, die einfach sehr menschlich und dabei “ImPerfect” sind.
Den heutigen Look habe ich in Paris fotografiert. Ich trage eine Patchwork Jeans und einen ausgefransten Cardigan von Esprit und zum ersten Mal diese unglaublichen Heels, die ich in Mailand bei Paula Cademartori entdeckt habe. Und obwohl auf den meisten Bildern die Sonne lacht, war es ein sehr bewölkter und grauer Tag und der Wind war so stark, dass ich eigentlich durchgehend aussah wie Cameron Diaz in “Verrück nach Mary” als sie DEN Haarmoment hatte. Und obwohl das Wetter nicht perfekt war, war es ein Tag in Paris – Und was will man schon mehr? Und da ich noch nie Random Facts von mir vorgestellt habe, nutze ich heute das Thema ImPerfect, um euch 10 ImPerfect Facts von mir zu verraten. I’m such a Harry Potter fan. My birthday is on the 31st of July – The same day of birth as Harry and Joan K. Rowling. I’m so emotionally attached to the books – When Serious Black died in the 5th book I was on vacation with my family. I was reading the scene at the beach and I cried so hard, even going for a swim with my sisters couldn’t take away the misery. I felt so heartbroken for a few days and even stopped reading Harry Potter for a few years before I was able to continue… 😉
As a teenager I was not so much into traveling. I have such a close relationship with my family and the people around me – When my sisters both went to America for an exchange year, I totally admired them because I knew I couldn’t do it. Before I started university I finally gave it a try and travelled around the world with my best friend Anna for a few month. This experience changed my life completely and ever since I always have to explore new places.
My little sister Laura and my big sister Nora are my best friends in the world and they make me super proud. My little sister graduated both her high school and her medicine exam as one of the best in Germany and my big sister stopped her medicine studies to follow her heart and became a teacher in order to do what she really loves. Both always support and believe in me and my dreams and I love them like crazy.
I started watching Suits a few months ago and I l-o-v-e it! The reason for that might be that I’m a tiny bit nerdy. During studies I realized that I have a bit of a photographic memory when reading things. I got better and better up to a point were I could fully understand, consume and learn by heart 400 pages marketing script within a day. I’m clearly not Mike Ross but sometimes I miss studying and training my memories. At the moment I collect and memorize pictures while travelling – Which is the best thing. 🙂
I am a bit crazy about food. When there is something I love (chocolate, avocado, burata…) I eat it all day every day! There is this Milka Chocolate Cappuchino I love so, so much. It’s instant pullover you mix with hot water and I take 5 instead of 2,5 spoons and even add sweetener and I think it’s the best. Sometimes I’m even taking it on vacations with me… just because I didn’t want to miss my daily dose. 😉
I give my heart to people, places and things. My school friends are still the girls I love the most and when I have a deep connection with someone, I would never let this person out of my life. For me loyalty is one of the most attractive characteristics (and that’s also why I love Harvey Spector ;))! I once rented a bike for holiday and I cried when I had to give it back when we left the place and every time I travel and I fall in love with a place, I have a few days of feeling love sick when coming home afterwards.
Mosquitos are the only animals I don’t like. They honestly drive me crazy. I seem to have the best blood ever, because mosquitos always go after me. As a teenager my sisters hated sharing a room with me, because when a mosquito would wake me up, I turned into ‘Leonie – The mosquito slayer’ (Yes, I was a buffy fan and I took mosquito hunting very seriously ;)). When my friend Anna and I traveled (she also hates mosquitos) we even had a routine – I was running around the room, shaking pieces of furtniture and when I whirled up a mosquito she would be ready to kill it. I’m a pussy, I couldn’t to it with my bare hands. 😉
I never knew I was a little spiritual – Well, I guess I am. Sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed when being with many people the whole day because I feel a vibe for everyone and everything around me. Most of the time people don’t have to tell me whether they feel good or bad – I feel it. And I also feel vibes in restaurants, hotels etc. Alex kind of hates me for that, but I often change tables in a restaurant at least once, because the table just doesn’t feel right!;) When you might think of Sheldon Cooper now – Yes, we have way more in common than you might think.;)
Faust was the one book I read during school which changed my life (at least a little ;)). I always struggled between being super ambitious and self critical on the one hand and being outgoing and adventurous at the same time. For those who didn’t read Faust: God and the devil make a bet. The devil says he could pursue everyone, even the hard working Faust. The devil then tries to create a moment which is so magical, Faust would say “Stay a while, you are so beautiful”. After I read the book I decided to enjoy the moment more often and whenever I have a moment which is so special and I feel my heart beating faster because I’m so happy, I would close my eyes appreciating the moment and store it safely in my memory. I had my last “Faust moment” when I arrived at the Azulik hotel in Tulum. Our room had a big balcony with a bathtube and a swing and all you can see when standing there is the wide, wide ocean.

Some people think they are into chocolate but I can tell you: There are people that are OBSESSED with it! I need chocolate after every big meal and there is nothing that can replace my chocolate appetite. Chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake, chocolate mousse – Nice try, but afterwards I would still need my chocolate. All my friends know that and no one wouldn’t ever give me a birthday gift which wouldn’t include some chocolate!;) Keynote: chocolate with fruits or raisins is not (!!!) ok. 😉

oh ich liebe solche Posts und ich finde, dass dich deine Fakten sehr sympathisch machen.
So lustig, bei mir war es genau anders, in meiner Kindheit bin ich sehr viel gereist, weil meine Eltern totale Abenteurer sind 😀 Wir haben sowohl ganz arme als auch reiche Länder besucht und es war immer viel Kultur dabei. Inzwischen ist das Reisen nicht mehr ganz so präsent in meinem Leben, aber ich finde es trotzdem schön, 1 bis 2 Male im Jahr in Urlaub zu gehen 🙂

Und wieder ein grandioses Outfit, Respekt! Wie so oft, muss ich die Farbe an die loben! Die Schuhe sind ja mal der Hammer. Doch ich bezweifle, dass die *gehtauglich* sind. Jedoch für ein super Foto natürlich perfekt!
Zum Thema *IMPerfekt* sollte sich so manch einer mal Gedanken machen. Wenn ich sehe wie viele Blogger dich kopieren, dann sollten sich diese Menschen mal Gedanken machen! Nur ein Beispiel sind ja jetzt die offen Taschen, die überall zu sehen sind *lach*. Dabei war das bei dir Zufall.
Natürlich kannst du dich geschmeichelt fühlen, dass dich so viele nachmachen. Doch für mich sind diese Personen nicht authentisch was sehr schade ist.

Haha sehr gut – Es ist manchmal so witzig, weil grade an fremden Orten verstehen sie einen nicht. 🙂 Ich saß grade im Restaurant und wurde gefragt “Any dessert?” und als ich meinte “Do you just have some chocolate” kommen sie einem mit heißer Schokolade oder ähnlichem – NIEMAND verstehts :):)

Sehr schönes Outfit, liebe Leonie! Die Fakten sind ja total cool/witzig. Ich bin auch ein riesiger Harry Potter Fan. Die Bücher und Filme haben meine Kindheit geprägt und ich könnte immer noch heulen, wenn die Bahnhofszene in Teil 7.2 kommt und ich realisiere, dass jetzt alles vorbei ist. 🙁
Oh ja, Schokolade liebe ich auch. Kuchen, Eis, irgendein anderes Dessert oder einfach Schokolade am Stück – ich liebe alles. Aber im Gegensatz zu dir bin ich auch ein totaler Schokofrüchte-Fan. In Schokobananen und Schokoäpfel könnte ich mich reinlegen. <3
