Victorias’s Secret show | Paris

I have always had a rather fertile imagination and thus my dreams and wishes in life have always been a bit unorthodox. For many years I’d watched the Circus Monaco on TV and had dreamed of becoming an acrobat – in a cat costume. 😉

When I was a teenager I watched all girly movies over and over again. And even today, my mac’s screen saver is a picture of Doutzen, Adriana, and Candice at an old Victoria’s Secret Show. There were few events during the year that left me more excited than the VS Show and I wouldn’t have dared to dream of ever sitting in the audience at this gigantic, lively show… Even today the idea still seems a bit surreal to me. Ciroc Vodka is known for its most spectacular after show parties. In the past I attended Ciroc events such as the Marina Hoermanseder after show party during the Berlin fashion week and the celebration of their campaign’s new face on Ibiza. Thus, it isn’t surprising that Ciroc was also a sponsor of the VS Show and I was so lucky to be invited to this world-famous spectacle.

I spared no effort to make it to Paris on this special day. The flight from Panama was long (but comfortable as you might have seen on Instagram ;)) and our connection flight from Frankfurt was delayed. When we finally made it to Paris, the show wasn’t even two hours away. But every hint of sulkiness was gone when we arrived at the hotel. We stayed in the most beautiful suite at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée with an amazing view on the Eiffel Tower from both the room and the balcony. The hotel is part of the Dorchester Collection – the same as the Beverly Hills and the Bel Air hotel – and we were very excited to stay there! Also, there were little presents from Victoria’s Secret and Ciroc all over the room: balloons in the Ciroc colors, a night gown and comfortable slippers by Victoria’s Secret and a bottle of Ciroc Vodka in the new VS design naturally including wings. 😉 Since by that time the show was only an hour away, I took a bite of the macaroons, slipped into my pink Valentino dress that Net-A-Porter had sent to Paris for me and off I went.

For the occasion the Grand Palais was illuminated in shades of pink and there was huge Victoria’s Secret neon writing. When we took our seats and the show started, I was mesmerized. At times I only sat there, not moving, trying to take in the moment the best I could. I wanted to share this amazing moment with you so much that I secretly did some snaps (mobile phones were strictly forbidden).;) To no surprise the entrance of the angels was the big highlight. It is unbelievable with how much energy and vitality they walk! The lingerie was beautiful and manifold and they even had some dirndl inspired pieces for us German girls.;) I loved seeing girls like Gigi, Taylor Hill and Kendall on the runway whom I’ve seen before at the international fashion shows. One personal highlight was the performance of the small Bruno Mars – also in high heels but in a fur coat, which looked funny next to the half-naked models.:) Also, The Weeknd performing his mega hit Starboy on the catwalk while his ex Bella Hadid was passing by looking good and well trained in nothing but underwear must have been one of the most photographed moments! 😉

The models, the amazing colorful styles by Victoria’s Secret and the acts – it was an unforgettable show and in between I was truly touched that I had the opportunity to see it life…

When the last model had left the runway the night was not over yet. After the show the after show party took place in THE location in the Grand Palais – powered by Ciroc! All night models were coming and leaving and I even met Lady Gaga at the pink posing wall. 😉

Despite the jetlag and the late arrival this night was one of the most amazing ones of my life. I was so overwhelmed by it that I wanted to stay in Paris a while longer. Thus, Alex and I stayed for two more nights at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée. This year I spent most of my nights at hotels and I most say that there were few which I enjoyed as much as the Hôtel Plaza Athénée. The rooms were spacious and light-flooded. The breakfast was so tasty (extra avo ;)) and the service was so cordially nice.

Zugegebenermaßen hatte ich schon immer eine ausgeprägte Fantasie und daher auch die wildesten Wünsche und Ziele. So habe ich viele Jahre lang im Fernsehen den Zirkus von Monaco gesehen und wollte Akrobatin im Katzenkostüm werden. 😉 Als Teenager habe ich dann sämtliche Mädchenfilme hoch und runter geguckt. Noch heute ist der Bildschirmhintergrund meines Macs ein Bild von Doutzen, Adriana und Candice bei einer alten Victoria’s Secret Show. Kaum ein Ereignis des Jahres war für mich aufregender! Ich hätte ehrlich niemals gedacht, dass ich einmal bei einer dieser gigantischen, energiegeladenen Victoria’s Secret Shows im Publikum sitzen würde… Und auch jetzt kommt es mir beinahe ein bisschen unrealistisch vor! Ciroc Vodka ist bekannt für die besten und aufregendsten Aftershow Partys. Auch ich habe mit Ciroc schon tolle Events wie die Marina Hoermanseder Aftershow Party während der letzten Berliner Fashionweek und die Party zum neuen Kampagnengesicht in Ibiza gefeiert. So machte es nur Sinn, dass Ciroc auch Sponsor der großen Victoria’s Secret Show war und ich habe mich so sehr gefreut von Ciroc zu dem weltberühmten Spektakel eingeladen worden zu sein.

Ich hätte keine Mühe gescheut, um es an diesem Tag nach Paris zu schaffen. Der Flug von Panama war lang (aber zum Glück auch sehr komfortabel wie ihr vielleicht auch auf Instagram gesehen habt J) und dann hatte unser Anschluss in Frankfurt auch noch eine ordentliche Verspätung. Bis wir es endlich nach Paris geschafft hatten, war der Beginn der Show keine zwei Stunden mehr hin. Aber jeder Anflug von schlechter Laune war verflogen, als wir unser Hotel betraten. Wir hatten die schönste Suite im wundervollen Hôtel Plaza Athénée mit einem traumhaften Ausblick auf den Eiffelturm vom Zimmer und vom Balkon aus. Das Hotel gehört genau wie das Beverly Hills und das Bel Air Hotel zur Dorchester Collection und wir waren ganz hin und weg! Außerdem waren überall im Zimmer kleine Überraschungen von Victoria’s Secret und Ciroc verteilt: Luftballons in den Ciroc Farben, Nachtwäsche und bequeme Hausschuhe von Victoria’s Secret und DIE neue Ciroc Vodka Flasche im VS Design – natürlich inklusive der bekannten Engelsflügel! Da die Show schon bald losgehen sollte, habe ich mir bloß zur Stärkung ein paar Makronen in den Mund gesteckt und ein rosa Kleid von Valentino angezogen, dass Net-A-Porter für mich nach Paris geschickt hatte. Und dann ging es ab zur Show…

Für die Victoria’s Secret Show erstrahlte der Grand Palais ausnahmsweise in Pinktönen mit einer großen VS Leuchtschrift. Als wir auf unseren Sitzen Platz genommen hatten und es dann auch schon losging, war ich wie verzaubert. Zwischenzeitlich habe ich einfach nur dagesessen und mich nicht bewegt, um den Moment so gut es ging auf mich wirken zu lassen. Ich wollte diesen unglaublich schönen Moment einfach mit euch teilen und so musste ich trotz Handyverbot heimlich etwas snapen. 😉 Der Auftritt der Engel war wie erwartet das große Highlight. Es war unfassbar wie viel Energie und Lebensfreude die Engel beim Walk ausgestrahlt haben. Die Wäsche war unheimlich schön und abwechslungsreich. Für uns deutsche Mädels gab es sogar Dirndl inspirierte Wäsche 😉 Besonders cool war es Mädels wie Gigi, Taylor Hill und Kendall zu sehen, die ich auch bei den internationale Fashionweeks schon des Öfteren habe laufen sehen. Ein weiteres Highlight war für mich der Auftritt des kleinen Bruno Mars in High Heels und Fellmantel. Er sah in seinem Aufzug echt lustig neben den fast nackten Models aus. 😉 In Erinnerung wird auch der Auftritt von The Weeknd bleiben, der mit seinem mega Hit Starboy begeisterte und auf dem Catwalk auf seine fast nackte und unheimlich gut trainierte Ex Bella Hadid traf (der wahrscheinlich am häufigsten fotografierte Moment ;)).

Die Models, die tollen, bunten Stylings von Victoria’s Secret, die Acts – Es war eine unvergessliche Show und ich war zwischendurch immer wieder richtig gerührt, dass ich dabei sein durfte….

Als das letzte Model den Catwalk verlassen hatte, war der Abend jedoch noch nicht vorbei. Im Anschluss fand die Aftershow Party in DER Location im Grand Palais statt – Powered by Ciroc! Die ganze Nacht sah man Topmodels, die rein und raus liefen und auch Lady Gaga habe ich ganz zufällig an der pinken Fotowand getroffen. 😉

Trotz Jetlag und später Ankunft war diese Nacht eine der besondersten Nächte in meinem Leben und ich war so überwältigt, dass ich Paris mit Ciroc noch etwas genießen wollte. Und so sind wir einfach noch zwei Nächte in Paris und im wundervollen Hôtel Plaza Athénée geblieben. Ich habe dieses Jahr fast ausschließlich in Hotels gewohnt und mich selten so wohl gefühlt wie im Hôtel Plaza Athénée. Die Zimmer waren groß und Licht durchflutet. Das Frühstück war unendlich lecker (extra Avo ;)) und der Service hätte nicht netter und herzlicher sein können.
