Ohh Gotham City – The Dark Knight

Some insights into the life of a super hero.

Meine lieben Freunde der Superhelden,

“Weil er der Held ist den Gotham verdient, aber nicht der den es gerade braucht, also jagen wir ihn, weil er es ertragen kann, denn er ist kein Held, er ist ein stiller Wächter, ein wachsamer Beschützer, ein dunkler Ritter.” (Jim Gordon)

New York oder auch Gotham City, eine unfassbar aufregende Stadt! Wenn ich jedoch die Punkte aus dem Zitat so fein säuberlich abarbeite, muss ich gestehen: ich bin wie Batman keine Heldin, (ich habe sogar etwas Angst im Dunkeln), aber auch keine stille Wächterin (bei mir ist eher Reden gold!), keine wachsame Beschützerin (für wachsam ist eindeutig meine Konzentrationsspanne zu kurz!) und auch kein dunkler Ritter (es fehlt nicht nur die Rüstung!). ABER hier stehe ich auf meinem Dach und das geheimnisvolle Gotham erstreckt sich vor mir. Und ich trage immerhin mein dunkles Gewand! 🙂

Bei meinem Superheldinnen Schauplatz handelt es sich großartiger Weise um das Dach meines Apartments für die Zeit meines Aufenthaltes in New York und als ich es sah, hatte ich sofort Batman vor Augen (und das ist normalerweise wirklich nicht oft der Fall!:))! Und das passende Outfit? Das hatte ich ehrlich gesagt zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch gar nicht! Klingt komisch, ist aber so! 🙂 Aber während unser lieber Bat Man fleißig die Schurken vertrieben hat, habe ich die Shops von Gotham City unsicher gemacht!Ich habe dort sozusagen nach dem Rechten gesehen, man kann also sagen, Batman und ich hätten uns die Aufgabe quasi gerecht aufgeteilt!:) Entsprechend meiner großen Verpflichtung habe ich diese Aufgabe natürlich SEHR ernst genommen und mit großer Sorgfalt ausgefüllt!;) Ich arbeite parallel auch  schon an ein paar NY Posts wie z.B. Shopping Tipps und Vorstellung meiner erfolgreichen Ausbeute und werde dort natürlich sehr viel mehr Infos liefern! 🙂 Aber zurück zu der Geschichte zu meinem Outfit! Ich hatte in meiner kleinen Zara Predigt (Ohh Zara Sale I & II) bereits geschrieben, dass die Preise bei Zara in den unterschiedlichen Ländern variieren und ich dementsprechend in den uSA nicht bei Zara einkaufen würde. Das hatte ich zumindest geschrieben und wollte es auch selber beherzigen – Ehrenwort! Aber kaum hatte ich die 5th Avenue betreten, lag “es” schimmernd im Sonnenlicht vor mir… Zara! Und “es war ja so kalt!”:) Ich bin also (“zum Aufwärmen” und natürlich zwecks Recherche) kurz mal eben rein gegangen und schon musste ich mir eingestehen, dass ich bei meinen ersten Beobachtungen zu Zara natürlich einen Punkt vergessen hatte! Es gibt natürlich auch Teile, die in Deutschland bei Zara direkt in der passenden Große ausverkauft waren – diese Teile darf man natürlich auch im Ausland kaufen (besonders im Sale!) 🙂 Und so habe ich weit von zu Hause tatsächlich noch zwei meiner liebsten Lederhosen gefunden, die in Deutschland direkt vergriffen waren!!! Und meine Jacke? Die gab es als Einzelstück für 65% des Originalpreises PLUS weitere 65% von diesem Preis bei meinem lieben Century 21! Ich werde Euch Century21 noch weiter vorstellen (versprochen!), denn mit Geduld und System kann man dort wirklich tolle Teile (auch von wirklich erstklassigen und sonst viel zu teuren Designern) zu weniger als 10% des Originalpreises finden!

So ihr Lieben, gemäß meiner Rolle als Superheldin muss ich jetzt wieder raus ziehen und zumindest in den Shops dieser Welt nach dem Rechten sehen! 🙂

My dear friends of super heroes,

New York or Gotham City, an incredibly exciting city! Still, regarding the quote I have to make some confessions! 1. Same as Batman, I’m no heroine (I’m even kind of afraid of the dark), 2. I’m also no silent guardian (“silence is gold” is not really my mantra), 3. I’m no watchful protector (my concentration span is way too short!) and 4. I’m also no dark knight (it does not only lack the suit of armor!). BUT here I am, on my rooftop and the mysterious Gotham City extends in front of me. And at least I wear my dark robe! 🙂

The place of action for my outfit is (lucky me!) the roof of my apartment for the duration of my stay in New York! And when I saw it, I immediately had Batman in mind (and he its not really what I’m thinking of normally!)! And my outfit? I honestly just bought the key pieces in New York! But while our dear Batman carefully watched the city by night, I kind of supported him by at least taking care of the shops during the day! So we almost splitted up the job in equal parts! And according to my great obligation, I have taken this task VERY seriously and with great care!;) I am already working on a couple of NY posts such as Shopping tips and my shopping hauls and (of course!) I’ll provide you with more information!:) But back to the story about my outfit! I told you before (Ohh Zara Sale II) that prices vary at Zara in different countries and I told you that I would accordingly not shop in the at Zara in the US. Well, that’s what I said. And I tried to do so! But the moment I entered the 5th Avenue, I saw “it” shimmering in the sunlight in front of me … Zara! And “it was so cold! “:) So I made a short stop ( in order to “warm-up” and of course for the purpose of research) and found out, that there might be a reason to really enter a Zara in the US! Because there are pieces that were directly sold out at Zara in Germany, but that might still be available in a different country! Lucky me: I found my two favorite leather pants, which were sold out in Germany! And my jacket? I found it and it was market down at 65 % of the original price PLUS an additional 65 % of this price at my beloved Century 21 in Downtown Manhatten! Of course, I will introduce to you Century21 in more detail (I promise!). As with patience and a good system you can find great pieces (also of truly great and otherwise way too expensive designers) for less than 10% of the original price! No kidding!

So my dear ones, according to my super heroine role I have to get out again and at least check whether everything is save in the shops around the world!
