Military looks are not easy! Even “light” military looks with camouflage inspired pants have difficulties keeping up with summerly trends such as tropical prints and bright colors. The mood, the associations – it’s just a dark fashion topic. And, therefore, I must confess that I took these pictures some time ago and somehow the look has not left my iPhoto gallery. It does not mean that I do not like the outfit: the modified camouflage pattern of the pants, the belt with silver details, the loose military shirt, my studded clutch and some of my favorite black pieces: black heels and black cropped top! Nevertheless, I was unsure. It is always a little challenge for me to take pictures – I am an emotional person and I’m not a good actress at all.  So it is easier for me to photograph outfits that are very sunny and warm and that help me to also get into this positive flow. In contrast to that, military is usually rather edgy and cool! Still, I decided to present the look to you, since I like the combination of the camo inspired pants and the loose military shirt. But please do not get used to me showing belly: I could not picture myself doing workouts. I can only do sports when it’s a fun activity such as dancing. And as I am always excited before I shoot a look, I could never do it without some chocolate! That’s why a good photographer always has some “emergency chocolate” for me! In this sense: thank you, dear Alina, for the photos and for the Twix!

In case you are afraid of me taking to topic too serious: do not worry, the car obviously is not mine. It was just randomly standing there and I’m a Fan of making the best of fun coincidences!

Eins steht absolut fest: Military-Looks sind nicht einfach! Selbst subtile Military Looks werden niemals mit der Leichtigkeit von fröhlichen Prints und Farben oder der Unbeschwertheit von Ton-in-Ton Outfits mithalten können. Die Stimmung, die Assoziationen, die Farbgebung – es ist einfach ein etwas düsteres Modethema. Und ich muss daher gestehen, dass ich diese Bilder schon vor einiger Zeit gemacht habe und der Look ein bisschen „Frühlingsschlaf“ gemacht hat! Das heißt nicht, dass ich nicht hinter dem Outfit stehe: ich mag das abgewandelte Camouflage-Muster der Hose, den Gürtel mit den silbernen Details, das lockere Military Hemd, die uuuuralte Nieten-Clutch und meine altbewährten Basics: schwarze Heels und schwarzes cropped Top! Trotzdem war ich mir unsicher. Es ist für mich immer eine kleine Herausforderung mich fotografieren zu lassen – Ich bin sehr offen und gefühlsbetont und kann gar nicht gut schauspielern. So ist es für mich einfacher Outfits zu fotografieren, die selber strahlen und positiv sind und bei denen ich mich in diese Stimmung hinein fühlen kann. Und Military ist normalerweise eher edgy und cool und das fällt mir nicht ganz leicht! Nach langem hin und her habe ich mich jetzt doch dazu entschieden, euch den Look zu präsentieren. Schließlich möchte ich euch unterschiedliche Inspiration bieten und mir gefällt das Zusammenspiel aus dezenter Camo-Hose und lockerem Military Hemd, welches sowohl zu als auch in Kombi mit cropped Top oder um die Hüften getragen werden kann. Nur an den Anblick „bauchfrei“ dürft ihr euch nicht gewöhnen. Ich bin eine Naschkatze und ich mag nur Sport mit Unterhaltungscharakter (tanzen, tanzen, tanzen!) – meinen Bauch trainieren oder Muskelaufbau: das bringt mir keinen Spaß und wird wohl niemals passieren. Außerdem bin ich aufgeregt bevor ich einen Look fotografiere und könnte nie ohne Schoki vorher starten! Artige Fotografen haben auch für mich immer Notfallschokolade dabei, um mich während der Fotos bei Laune zu halten! In diesem Sinne: danke liebe Alina für die Fotos und für den Twix!

Und keine Sorgen, ich nehme das Thema nicht zu ernst: das Auto im Hintergrund ist natürlich nicht meins und ich habe es auch nicht extra organisiert.  Es stand genau in der Straße, in der ich die Fotos machen wollte – und ich bin ein Freund davon, aus einer Situation das Maximale raus zu holen! 😉
