How to wear: Military

How to wear: Military

Stand to attention! Yes, I’m taking about military inspired fashion today! Yesterday’s post somehow inspired me to share some thoughts about this rather difficult fashion topic!

Wearing a military outfit is not about dressing like a soldier, but about playing with some military influences which seem to work their way into online shops and retailers every now and then – Ranging from subtle olive finishes to bold military-inspired jackets and camo prints (yes, I do love my camo pants!)! My mission today? Tell you more about how to wear military in an easy way – Making the trend effortless and timeless! xx Leonie

#1: The trend is most wearable in autumn /winter.
Colder days are perfectly made for a military inspired look, because shades of khaki and army green are neutral shades you can easily integrated into your autumn / winter wardrobe.

#2: Start with accessoires.
For an easy way to build your military look start with accessories. A pair of clumpy boots with chain or studded detailing will instantly add a utility element to your look. Similarly, you can also add chunky metallic jewellery or hardware details!

#3: Don’t overdo you military look.
Choose only one military inspired piece (e.g. camo pants) and combine it with some basics in shades of khaki, army green. Do not add to many military elements at once!

#4: Try a tone-in-tone look.
When you feel more comfortable with the military look, go for the color head-to-toe. A mix of materials such as silk, leather and soft cashmere will bring added texture and will also soften your look!

#5: Invest in timeless favorites.
You don’t need an army of military items – Rather invest in a timeless piece you can reinvent each season. As you can see on the pictures I already made three different looks with one pair of camo pants.
