For those among you who are interested in seeing some really impressive temples in Indonesia, I can highly recommend going to Yogyakarta. Yogya is perfectly located in order to book one of various tours to explore the famous temples Borobudur and Prambanan. The daily tour I took has been such a good experience, therefore, I will dedicate a whole post to this tour!

In case you are thinking about visiting Yogyakarta, I can highly recommend to stay at the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta. When looking for a place to stay online I’ve already been impressed by the Hyatt Regency in Yogya, but seeing the hotel when we arrived really was mind blowing! They welcomed us with a tropical juice, stroke us a gong and gave us a necklace made of beautiful flowers. When we made a tour around the hotel, I immediately regretted staying only two nights! The hotel is truly unique and has its own charisma. The architecture is based on the one of the Borobudur temple, which was really impressive. You can go all your way up and visit the balcony on the roof to enjoy a beautiful view over the hotel and the mountains on the one side and the city on the other side. The hotel complex was huge, with a big pool surrounded by tropical flowers, palm trees and a temple! Inside the temple was a slide and even though we had a thunder storm that afternoon, we took the risk and tested it! 😉
The hotel was obviously one of the places you feel a bit heart-broken when you have to leave! I would have loved to spend more time enjoying the pool, the big breakfast buffet and the stylish hotel itself – The daily tour did not leave much time! Ich würde mich soo freuen, wenn du nach deiner Reise einen Post schreiben würdest über deine komplette Rundreise. Wo du warst, was du dort gesehen hast aber auch vor allem mit welchen Transportmitteln du zu den verschiedensten Inseln gekommen bist?
