When planning my Indonesia travels I was keen to explore Bali. There was so much I’ve heard about the “Island of Peace” or also called the “Island of Gods”.

The moment I arrived, I already felt for this place. And my enthusiasm grew bigger and bigger every single day! I’ve always been fascinated by Asia, but for the first time I found a place so far away from home that seems to offer it all: Culture, friendly people, tasty food, nature and last but not least lifestyle. In Bali they just know how to give you a good time. There are so many places to explore… Ubud, Seminyak, Uluwatu, Tegalalang. Therefore, I explored quite some different places and try to give you some insights to my favorite places.
I started my adventures at the Grand Hyatt Bali in Nusa Dua which was such a good idea after the tight time schedule we had in Jakarta and Yogyakarta. The Grand Hyatt has the longest section of the white sandy Nusa Dua beach and it felt just right to finally relax at the beach or at one of the various pools surrounded by tropical gardens. Bali is such a colorful place and you could see it in every corner of the Grand Hyatt Bali: small lakes covered by water lilies, pinks tropical flowers and palm trees. What we loved most about this place was the lively and friendly atmosphere of the hotel and the staff. Everyone treated us so hearty. We spent a lot of time eating Gado-Gado in the Garden Café, or playing cards with the view of the ocean. Saying good bye to the hotel and the staff after only two days was really difficult, we were even thinking about spontaneously staying longer! I also made a new friend there – Dear Chen who works for the hotel helped us to organize our time at Bali and gave us insider tips on where to go and what to do! Below you can find my favorite pictures from our stay, I hope you enjoy the colorful picture diary! 🙂
Thank you dear Grand Hyatt Bali team for the unforgettable stay – We hope to see you again soon! xx Leonie
