What I probably love the most about North Germany is the fact, that you can easily drive to the North or the Baltic Sea! When the weather was beautiful last week, Alex and I spontaneously packed our things in order to spend one night at the Bayside hotel in  S c h a r b e u t z! The hotel was a recommendation by a friend of mine and I really loved the place! The hotel was located next to my favorite ice cream spot in Scharbeutz and you can easily walk to all the little shops and restaurants! We enjoyed our time to the fullest, watching the sea from our balcony, eating dinner at one of the little restaurants, relaxing at the spa and – what I loved the most – We took a bootle of wine and lots of blankets to the beach in the evening in order to watch the waves and listen to music! The second day we booked a beach chair and spend the whole day at the beach! It was such a lovely short trip and I have to say thank you to the Bayside hotel for the hospitality! As soon as the sun comes out, I will probably drive back to the sea!:) xx Leonie

Das schöne an Norddeutschland ist, dass sowohl die Nord- als auch die Ostsee quasi vor der Haustür liegen. Und sobald die Temperaturen steigen, zieht es mich einfach ans Wasser! Schon ein halber Tag am Strand und ich fühle mich erholt! Das Wasser, der Strand, die kleinen Örtchen – Alles sieht nach Urlaub aus! Als es letzte Woche schönen Wetter war, haben Alex und ich uns entschieden spontan unsere Sachen zu packen und eine Nacht im Bayside Hotel an der Ostsee in  S c h a r b e u t z  zu verbringen. Das Bayside wurde mir von einer lieben Freundin empfohlen und wir fanden den Aufenthalt einfach wunderschön. Nach Ankunft haben wir uns etwas in unserem wunderschönen Zimmer erholt und die Meerluft vom Balkon geatmet und haben hinterher Scharbeutz erkundigt. Ich schlendere so gerne durch die kleinen Ostsee-Örtchen, gucke nach kleinen Läden und leckeren Restaurants. Abends haben wir noch schnell den Spa Bereich genutzt und haben den Abend mit einer Flasche Wein und ganz vielen Decken am Strand ausklingen lassen! Den zweiten Tag haben wir nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück (nichts geht für mich über ein leckeres Frühstücksbuffet mit Pancakes!) komplett am Strand verbracht! Wir haben uns einen Strandkorb gemietet und einfach mal die Seele baumeln lassen! Es war ein so wunderschöner Kurztrip – Vielen lieben Dank liebes Bayside Team für die Gastfreundschaft! Sobald es wieder wärmer ist, wird es mich bestimmt wieder ans Meer ziehen!:) xx Leonie
