Monday Update #29

What a week !My trip to Ibiza started with the longest and most complicated journey I’ve ever had! 🙂

Instead of flying from Hamburg to Stuttgart and then on to Ibiza, where I would have arrived in the morning, everything (LITERALLY EVERYTHING!) went wrong. In the end, I missed two connecting flights, ended up in Barcelona in between and didn’t make it to the hotel on Ibiza until 22.40. I was amazed by how much can go wrong on a flight that was supposed to have only one stop-over – especially since I travel a lot and even on my chaotic trip around the world all my connecting flights worked out smoothly! However, I decided to keep being a fan of short stop-overs and I will classify this crazy day as an exemption from the rule! 🙂

R E V I E W

After that troublesome arrival we still had a full week on Ibiza ahead of us. We had been invited to the island by Ciorc and Marina Hoermanseder and therefore we spent the first nights in the ME hotel at Playa del Bossa and attended a number of events. Normally, I am in charge of planning our trips. No matter if it is hotels, favorite places or restaurants, I love doing online research and falling in love with places even before actually visiting them. Nevertheless, it is a nice change when someone else does the planning for me. 🙂  For example Ciorc had organized a lunch at the Atzaro Beach Club and a night in the Destino Pacha for us. After two amazing days with the whole group, Alex and I moved to Ibiza city. Nearly everything was booked up and we ended up moving into a 1-room apartment right next to the harbor and the old part of the city. Admittedly, it was rather simple and because of all the nearby restaurants very loud, especially at night. But I was glad to be able to reach everything worth reaching on foot – that’s always important to me when I am traveling.

 My favorite place on Ibiza is definitely still Dalt Villa (old part of Ibiza city) and the next time I’ll be here I really want to take a day-trip to Formentera. I have heard that one can catch a bit of a Caribbean flair there and the energy is supposed to have a great flow in this place as well. 😉 I would have loved to explore some more places while being on Ibiza but we also had a lot of organizational work to do and since the schedule was rather full with events, we didn’t have a lot of time to go exploring. Next time! 🙂

 P L A N S

Alex and I will finally be home in Hamburg for a couple of days now. I had some issues with my blog’s template lately and had to apply an update, which changed my layout and I have to reorganize everything now. That’s why I plan on spending a couple of days in front of the computer to get everything back in order. Also, it will be my birthday on Sunday. Originally, Alex and I had planned a trip to Turkey but we had not yet booked any flights. With everything that had happened we decided to hold on to the plan but postpone it for a while. But we have a great new idea now, and I hope that I will get it all organized in the next days…;) I won’t tell you anything about it yet in case it doesn’t work out. And like this I will (hopefully) be able to surprise you on Friday with Snaps from a new special place! 🙂

 N E W  I N

I had my online orders send straight to Ibiza (which wasn’t the best idea ever). 😉 I am especially excited about two of my sale findings: my Chloé bag with fringes and my asymmetrical skirt that I wore in the last post (here). Since it is 20% off on all the sale must have items at Net-A-Porter now, I will definitely do some more browsing before my next trip. Also my inflatable water melon for the pool was such a good idea! I bought it quite some time ago but never used it and I was happy to use it on Ibiza. 🙂 You can find it: here and there is also a matching melon water ball for a better price which is even at sale at the moment (here)!;)

Was für eine Woche! Mein Trip nach  I b i z a  begann mit der längsten und umständlichsten Anreise, die ich je hatte! 🙂 Anstelle von Hamburg nach Stuttgart und weiter nach Ibiza zu fliegen und morgens anzukommen, ging alles (ALLES!) schief. Letztendlich klappten zwei Anbindungen nicht, wir sind sogar als weiteren Stop über Barcelona geflogen und um 22.40 Uhr habe ich unendlich erschöpft das Hotel auf Ibiza betreten. Es war verrückt wie viel bei einem Flug mit ursprünglich einem Stop-Over schiefgehen kann, besonders da ich ein wirklicher Vielflieger bin und selbst auf meiner chaotischen Weltreise haben immer alle Anbindungen reibungslos funktioniert! Trotzdem glaube ich weiterhin an die kurzen Zeiten während Stop-Overs und hoffe, dass dieser verrückte Tag eine Ausnahme war! 🙂

R E V I E W

Nach der verrückten Anreise, hatten wir noch eine knappe Woche Ibiza vor uns. Eingeladen waren wir von Ciorc und Marina Hoermanseder und so haben wir die ersten Nächte im ME Hotel bei Playa del Bossa gewohnt und an verschiedenen Events teilgenommen. Normalerweise übernehme ich die Planung unserer Reisen. Von Hotels über Lieblingsorte bis hin zu Restaurant, ich liebe es online zu recherchieren und mich bereits vor der Ankunft in einen Ort zu verlieben. Trotzdem ist es ein Luxus, wenn jemand anderes die Organisation übernimmt. 🙂 So hatte Ciroc zum Beispiel ein Essen im Atzaro Beach Club und einen Abend im Destino Pacha organisiert. Nach zwei tollen Tagen mit der gesamten Gruppe sind Alex und ich dann nach Ibiza Stadt umgezogen. Es war so ziemlich alles bereits ausgebucht und so haben wir uns spontan ein 1-Zimmer Apartment gebucht, was direkt bei dem Hafen und der Altstadt von Ibiza lag. Es war zugegeben unheimlich spartanisch und aufgrund der vielen Restaurant in der Umgebung grade am Abend sehr laut, aber ich war froh alles fußläufig zu erreichen, was mir beim Reisen immer besonders gut gefällt.

Mein liebster Ort auf Ibiza ist auf jeden Fall noch immer Dalt Villa (Ibiza Altstadt) und beim nächsten Mal möchte ich unbedingt einen Tagesausflug nach Formentera machen. Ich habe gehört, dass es dort ein leichtes Karibik Feeling gibt und außerdem soll die Energie dort besonders gut fließen. 😉 Ich hätte gerne noch ein paar weitere Orte auf Ibiza erkundet, aber wir hatten ordentlich Orga Kram dabei und konnten neben den Events nicht so viel auf Entdeckungstour gehen wie ich gerne gewollt hätte. Dafür aber beim nächsten Mal! 🙂

P L A N S

Die nächsten Tage sind Alex und ich endlich wieder in Hamburg. Ich hatte zwischenzeitlich ein Problem mit meinem Blog Template und musste ein Update durchführen, was ich jetzt erst einmal wieder anpassen muss. Daher möchte ich unbedingt ein paar Tage am PC sitzen und gucken, dass ich alles gut organisiert bekomme. Am Sonntag ist dann bereits mein Geburtstag und eigentlich hatten Alex und ich einen Trip in die Türkei geplant, den wir jetzt erst einmal verschoben haben. Es war alles organisiert, aber wir hatten noch keine Flüge gebucht und haben uns daher dafür entschieden erst einmal abzuwarten. Wir haben dafür aber eine tolle neue Idee und ich gucke, ob ich alles so schnell organisiert bekomme…;) Ich verrate lieber noch nichts, falls es nicht klappt, überrasche euch aber am Freitag, wenn es wieder Snaps von einem besonderen Ort gibt! 🙂

Ich hatte mir meine Online Bestellungen nach Ibiza schicken lassen (was keine gute Idee war.) 😉  Besonders glücklich bin ich mit zwei meiner Sale Fundstücke: meiner Fransen Chloé Tasche und dem asymmetrischen Rock aus dem letzten Post (hier). Da es nun 20% auf die Sale Must Haves bei Net-A-Porter gibt, werde ich vor meinem nächsten Trip auf jeden Fall noch etwas stöbern. Außerdem hatte ich zum ersten Mal meine aufblasbare Wassermelone dabei, die mir wirklich große Freude bereitet hat! Einen günstigeren Melonen Wasserball, der grade im Sale ist, gibt es übrigens: hier!
