Tri Hotel | Sri Lanka

Before flying to Sri Lanka I spent a lot of time researching the most beautiful places to go. I really wanted to find a place, where we could spend some time just relaxing and enjoying ourselves to recharge our batteries. And during that research I kept bumping into that one hotel: the Tri Hotel!

The Tri Lanka is a very special place because the owner, Rob, is also a photographer. They designed the hotel with the vision of creating a place that would mirror the Sri Lankan lifestyle in a natural but also modern way. When we arrived at the hotel, we immediately felt that spirit. The hotel is placed directly at the shore of the Koggala Lake and we had the most beautiful room with an amazing balcony, a private pool and a breathtaking view of the lake. Sitting on the balcony you could get the feeling that you were the only human being on the planet (well, apart from Alex sitting next to me of course ;)). When we woke up in the morning the sun was flooding through openings in the room’s wooden panels. It was the perfect place to unwind and we spend a lot of time in the infinity pool that is filled with natural water with a low concentration of chlorine. One of the highlights, though, was the kitchen. When you book a room at the Tri it automatically comes with half-board because the next supermarkets and restaurants are quite some distance away. Every night we had the most amazing menu with several courses. All the food was fresh and tasty and very much in line with the Sri Lankan cuisine. I gained at least 2 kg while we were there – but it was definitely worth it! 😉 The hotel also has a water tower where you can also have a room and here you can even watch the sunset!     das sieht einfach herrlich aus und läd so zum Entspannen ein. Meine Eltern waren auch schon einmal in Sri Lanka und waren total begeistert von dem Land und der Kultur!
    Ich hoffe, ihr konntet euch wunderbar erholen! Ich werde jetzt noch ein bisschen in den Bildern schwelgen!

    Huhu liebe Rebecca, ich kann Sri Lanka auch wirklich nur empfehlen! Für den easy entspannten Urlaub mit dem Boyfriend würd eich vllt doch immer nach Thailand, aber Sri Lanka hat soooo viel zu bieten! Gefühlt haben wir jeden tag einen komplett neues Abenteuer erlebt! <2

    Unglaublich dieses Hotel – ich könnte mir auch kaum einen besseren Platz vorstellen, um einfach einmal runter zu kommen. Alles sieht sooo unglaublich wundervoll aus. Bin direkt verliebt 🙂
