HOTLIST: THE LANA HOTEL, DUBAI

As you guys know, the Plaza Athénée is my second home where I love to stay whenever I’m in Paris. So I jumped at the first opportunity to visit the newest addition to the Dorchester Collection, The Lana Hotel in Dubai, to celebrate mine and Alex’s 10-year anniversary. <3

We arrived during the night but our exhaustion disappeared as soon as we were picked up by the hotel’s own Rolls Royce car service. The exceptional and luxurious experiences continued throughout our entire stay, making us feel very special for the entire trip.

Once we arrived at the hotel, we immediately tested one of their restaurants. The hotel has so many different options which makes it very hard to pick favourites! Three options we can’t recommend enough are the Riviera, Veranda and High Society restaurants. Riviera is a French-inspired option that overlooks the sparkling waters of Marasi Bay Marina, Veranda is an exclusive open-air paradise garden with an Asian-inspired menu, and High Society is located at the very top of the hotel (close to the pool), offering spectacular Burj Khalifa views. And did I mention that you get food from Michelin-starred chef Jean Imbert?!

The restaurants were excellent, but so were the rooms and we absolutely loved ours. Every room has stunning views – you could even see the impressive Dubai skyline and Burj Khalifa from the bathroom. The entire hotel has perfect attention to detail: the elevators, the amenities, the bathrooms, everything was very chic and in keeping with the classic Dorchester Collection style.

If I had to name a favourite activity, it would have to be the rooftop infinity pool on the 30^th floor. It was so quiet and beautifully done. I loved getting there in the morning, having my coffee while enjoying the spectacular views and taking a swim with no one around. On one of the days we even tried out one of their pool cabanas for an even more private experience.

Overall our stay at The Lana was everything we had hoped for and more – I can’t think of a better way to celebrate out anniversary and we can’t wait to be back!
