#ohh2015

It is unbelievably exciting and even a bit scary what can happen in only one year. In the beginning of 2015 the blog was still kind of new. I had only visited one fashion week so far and had only worked with a small number of brands. The blog was my beloved hobby on which I spend my time on weekends and in the evening when I came home from my job working in Social Media. At that point I only knew few other bloggers and I was still living with my friend Anna. Only one short year later and my life has changed completely. Nowadays both Alex and I work full-time on the blog and we are supported by our lovely intern Vanessa. Since April Alex and I also live together.

To be honest, since I’ve started working on the blog I always had a picture in my head of a perfect-case scenario. After we finished the Abitur, Alex and I both studied in a dual system and afterwards continued to work in the company were we had learned during our studies. And although I have always been a serious working bee, I have to admit that both the dual studies and the time working in strategy had brought me to my limits. While at home I had always been used to a happy and supportive environment but my start at work was quite the opposite. Accordingly, even early on I had the dream that the blog would be the one thing that would let me work freely and creatively. The possibility of following that dream together with Alex had always been more than I could have imagined… At this point I just have to quote the Pussycat Dolls „Be careful what you wish for `cause you just might get it…!;). Alex and I neither had a plan nor some kind of strategy on how we would accomplish this dream but the idea in the back of my head was always stronger that I admitted to myself at that point. While wind was picking up for ohhcouture in the first half of the year, the second half ended up being the dream come true. There were only few days that I spend at home, I met so many amazing people and I had the opportunity to work with some of my favorite brands. Today I want to take the time to tell you a bit more about the highlights of my year 2015 and to give you a sneak peek on what I am going to share with you in the first weeks of the new year! 🙂

P R O J E C T S: One of the best things in 2015 was that I had the opportunity to work with so many amazing brands. One highlight was definitely the start of my longtime cooperation with Asos. Once a month I fly to London together with Alex to shoot pictures and videos, which are then presented on my Asos Insider Instagram, Pinterest and the international Asos pages. Also, I am very proud of my work with Pandora. I had the honor to shoot not only one but two campaigns for this incredible jewelry brand, the second one could recently be seen online and in the Christmas brochures in the stores. Working with Pandora has been so much fun and I am looking forward to working together again in 2016. Another highlight was the video shoot for an international campaign for Gina Tricot next to other bloggers such as Angelica Blick. Apart from all of this I was able to get to know many great brands such as Chanel, Bulgari, Piaget, Tory Burch, Monnier Freres to mention just a few. This makes me feel happy and proud!

Aside our work for the blog and Asos, Alex and me have been working for a secret project as consultants for nearly a year – 2016 the project will finally be launched publicly and I hope that I will be able to surprise you thoroughly with it. Everything that I know about it so far is incredibly exciting!

Additionally, in regard to beauty I was the German face for an Instagram campaign for Bobby Brown and I had one of my favorite shootings for Lancôme this year – in 2016 I would like to work more in the field of beauty!

T R A V E L S: Maybe you have already noticed that I have a second great passion next to fashion: Travelling! Exploring new places is one of the greatest things in life to me and to be able to combine my work on the blog with travelling is the greatest gift to me. This year for example I spend time in Indonesia, on Fuerteventura and Ibiza, in Gothenborg at the Way Out West Festival, in New York, Milan, Paris and London for the Fashion Weeks, Barcelona, Vienna, Tirol and St. Moritz. And for all I know so far about what is going to happen in 2016, the year will be even more colorful and international and I plan on decorating my passport with many new seals!

My highlights this year were definitely my first visits to the international Fashion Weeks in New York, Milan, Paris and London. Never before had I collected so many new impressions and had met so many new amazing people in such a short time. For example I finally met Sarah Mikaela from Fromboise Fashion, Tamara from The Glam and Glitter and Noor from Queen of Jetlegs all of whom I had known before only through Instagram and who are in real life even more enchanting than I had imagined! My first international Fashion Week was still a bit of a mess. We had to change hotels several times, send last minute requests to different shows, and had accepted jobs in Germany in between the different Fashion Weeks so that we had to fly forwards and backwards all the time. That is why I look forward even more to my second go this February. Only that this time I can look forward to being reunited with many known faces, great shows of brands that I have already worked with in 2015, and to having Alex on my side, who is finally able to enjoy the crazy fashion circus without working and studying at the same time.

Also, my blogger trips to Ibiza and Tirol were definite highlights. The week on Ibiza with Blogger Bazaar and many great girls was up to that point my most exciting project and we put many great cooperations with Asos, Mr. Spex and Lancôme into action there. While Ibiza took place in a rented villa, the trip to Tirol this winter was in cooperation with the Stanglwirt hotel. Both trips had in common that the great photographer Lina came along. Lina is not only one of the most talented photographers that I got to meet so far but also one of the most exciting, pretty and at the same time kind people I had the opportunity to get to know in this past time as a blogger! In Tirol I shot several cooperations with great brands such as EOS, Triumph and Bogner in a short time and I am really happy with the results!

P L A N S: When I look forward to 2016, I am so incredibly excited. I just cannot wait for it all to begin. 2016 will start off in January with a great project in Florence, the Berlin Fashion Week, one week in London with Asos and an amazing project in the Caribbean! I have never been to the Caribbean before and I wish I could already tell you more about the project! Next the Fashion Weeks in New York, Milan, London and Paris will take place and then we will finally, finally, finally fly to Tulum. We had to cancel our plan to go there this December because of different projects that came up and therefore my anticipation is now even bigger than usually! After the vacation in Tulum another highlight is coming up in LA and I am sure it will be one of the best this year – can you guess what it is? J I am looking forward so much to everything that is going to happen this year and I am so happy to take you along with me! Thank you so much for letting me be part of your life. I read every single commentary, had a look at your blogs and Instagram accounts and today I want to give you my heart felt thank you for your support! For example I am happy about every comment that my dear Alnis has written on my blog since the hour ohhcouture.com was born and I smile when I read each line written by great girls such as @somehappyshoes or @allthatchoices on Instagram. Also, I have read with great joy the article about me on the blog of @evasgirl and it really touched me. I hope that in the next year I will be able to answer your comments and questions even faster and I am sure that there is so much coming up that we will experience together. Thank you so much for everything, you guys make me so happy and I feel blessed to have you!

Finally, I want to take the opportunity to say a big fat thank you to my beloved Alex! Thank you for your trust in me, in my crazy head and in my visions and thank you that you take all my dreams seriously and that you help me to let them come true. I am so proud of you, your braveness and your achievements. I feel so lucky that you have changed from an ambitious career focused guy to a passionate photographer (and man on the hair straightener;)) who travels the world! As you can imagine, what Alex has contributed to ohhcouture is more than what you might imagine at the first glance and therefore I cannot stress his contributions enough! To express it in Avatar language: I see you! J In the next year I promise to try to take a breath from time to time and also to take the time to enjoy things more instead of worrying too much. I promise this to you!

Es ist unglaublich aufregend und auch ein wenig beängstigend wie viel in einem Jahr passieren kann. Anfang 2015 war der Blog noch immer sehr neu. Ich hatte erst eine Fashion Week besucht und erst mit einer Handvoll Unternehmen zusammen gearbeitet. Der Blog war mein aller liebstes Hobby, den ich abends und an den Wochenenden neben meines Jobs im Bereich Social Media ausgeübt habe. Zu dem Zeitpunkt kannte ich noch kaum andere Blogger und habe noch mit meiner Freundin Anna zusammen gewohnt. Nun ist es fast ein Jahr später und mein Leben hat sich komplett geändert. Mittlerweile arbeiten sowohl Alex als auch ich hauptberuflich an dem Blog und wir haben sogar noch Unterstützung von unserer zauberhaften Praktikantin Vanessa. Seit April wohnen Alex und ich zusätzlich zusammen.

Tatsächlich hatte ich seit ich mit dem Blog gestartet hatte eine Wunschvorstellung vor Augen. Alex und ich haben beide nach dem Abi mit einem dualen Studium gestartet und sind hinterher direkt bei unseren jeweiligen Partnerunternehmen eingestiegen. Und obwohl ich schon immer ein totales Arbeitstier war muss ich sagen, dass das duale Studium und meine anschließende Tätigkeit als Strategieberaterin die bisher härteste Probe in meinem Leben war. Während ich zu Hause ein so wertschätzendes und lebensfrohes Umfeld hatte, war der Einstieg in mein Berufsleben das komplette Gegenteil. Entsprechend hatte ich früh den Traum mit meinem Blog etwas gefunden zu haben, indem ich frei und kreativ arbeiten kann. Die Vorstellung diese Freiheit gemeinsam mit Alex ausleben zu können war mein größter Traum… Und an dieser Stelle muss ich einfach die Pussycat Dolls zitieren: “Be careful what you wish for cause you just might get it..!”;). Alex und ich hatten keinen Plan oder eine Strategie wie wir uns diesen Traum verwirklichen wollten, aber der bloße Gedanke im Hinterkopf war wahrscheinlich stärker als ich es zunächst gemerkt habe. Während es mit ohhcouture in der ersten Hälfte des Jahres langsam aber sicher immer besser voran ging, war das zweite Halbjahr bereits wie in einem Traum. Ich habe nur noch wenige Tage in meiner Heimat verbracht, habe unglaublich tolle Menschen kennen gelernt und konnte mit einigen meiner liebsten Marken zusammen arbeiten. Heute möchte ich euch ein wenig über meine Highlights des Jahres erzählen und euch bereits einen kleinen Vorgeschmack auf das geben, was ich Anfang des Jahres mit euch teilen kann!:)

P R O J E C T S: Besonders schön war es für mich mit vielen tollen Marken zusammen zu arbeiten. Ein Highlight war auf jeden Fall der Beginn meiner langfristigen Zusammenarbeit mit Asos. Einmal im Monat fliege ich mit Alex nach London und wir produzieren Bilder und Videos, die dann auf meinem Asos Insider Instagram, Pinterest und auf den internationalen Asos Seiten verwendet werden. Außerdem bin ich sehr stolz auf meine Zusammenarbeit mit Pandora. So habe ich gleich zwei Kampagnen für die tolle Schmuckmarke fotografiert, die zweite Kampagne war zuletzt online und in den Weihnachtsbroschüren im Store zu finden. Die Zusammenarbeit hat mir unheimlich viel Spaß gemacht und ich freue mich auf weitere gemeinsame Projekte in 2016. Auch mein Videodreh für eine internationale Kampagne neben anderen Bloggern wie Angelica Blick für Gina Tricot war wahnsinnig aufregend. Daneben konnte ich tolle Marken wie Chanel, Bulgari, Piaget, Tory Burch, Monnier Freres und viele weitere kennen lernen und bin darüber stolz und glücklich.

Neben der Arbeit am Blog und bei ASOS arbeiten Alex und ich auch seit fast eine Jahr für ein geheimes Projekt als Berater – 2016 wird das Projekt endlich an den Start gehen und ich hoffe ich kann euch mit dem tollen Projekt so richtig überraschen. Alles was ich bisher in Planung ist, ist jedenfalls wahnsinnig aufregend!
Außerdem war ich im Bereich Beauty das deutsche Gesicht in einer Instagram Kampagne für Bobbby Brown und hatte eines meiner bisherigen Lieblingsshootings für Lancôme – In 2016 möchte ich mich gerne noch stärker mit dem Thema Beauty beschäftigen!

T R A V E L S: Vielleicht ist euch schon aufgefallen, dass ich neben dem Thema Fashion eine mindestens genau so große Leidenschaft habe: das Reisen! Neue Orte zu erkunden ist für mich die größte Bereicherung und die Arbeit am Blog mit dem Reisen zu verbinden ist das größte Geschenk überhaupt. Dieses Jahr war ich bspw. Indonesien, auf Fuerteventura und Ibiza, in Gothenborg auf dem Way Out West Festival, in New York, Milan, Paris und London für die jeweiligen Fashion Weeks, Barcelona, Vienna, Tirol sowie St. Moritz. Und bei allem, was bereits für 2016 ansteht, wird das kommende Jahr noch viel bunter und internationaler und ich kann meinen Reisepass mit reichlich neuen Stempeln beglücken!

Mein Highlight war auf jeden Fall mein erster Besuch der internationalen Fashion Weeks in New York, Mailand, Paris und London. Noch nie habe ich in so kurzer Zeit so viele Eindrücke gesammelt und so tolle Menschen getroffen. Beispielsweise habe ich endlich Sarah Mikaela von Fromboise Fashion, Tamara von The Glam and Glitter und Noor von Queen of Jetlegs kennen gelernt, die ich vorher bereits durch Instagram kannte und die im echten Leben noch bezaubernder sind, als ich es mir hätte vorstellen können! Die erste internationale Fashion Week war noch ziemlich durcheinander. Wir haben mehrmals zwischendurch Hotels gewechselt, haben teilweise viel zu kurzfristig für Shows angefragt und hatten zwischen den Fashion Weeks noch Jobs in Deutschland, so dass wir einen wahnsinnigen Marathon geleistet haben. Umso mehr freue ich mich jetzt auf meinen zweiten Durchgang ab Februar. Dieses Mal mit viel mehr mir bereits bekannter Gesichter, tolle Shows von Marken, mit denen ich bereits zusammen arbeite und alles mit Alex an meiner Seite, der endlich den verrückten Modezirkus genießen kann ohne Arbeit und paralleles Studium im Hinterkopf zu haben!

Auch meine Bloggerreisen nach Ibiza und Tirol waren absolute Highlight. Die Woche auf Ibiza mit Blogger Bazaar und vielen tollen Mädels war mein bis dahin aufregendstes Projekt und wir haben wir tolle Kooperationen mit Asos, Mr. Spex und Lancôme umgesetzt. Während Ibiza im Sommer in einer gemieteten Villa statt fand, hatte ich eine tolle Bloggerreise in das Stanglwirt Hotel in Tirol im Winter. Die Gemeinsamkeit der beiden Reisen ist, das die tolle Lina Fotografin war. Lina ist nicht nur eine der begabtesten Fotografinnen, die ich je treffen durfte, sondern auch einer der aufregendsten und zugleich liebsten Menschen, die ich in meiner Zeit als Bloggerin kennen gelernt habe! Auch in Tirol habe ich in kurzer Zeit tolle Projekte für bspw.EOS, Triumph und Bogner umgesetzt und freue mich sehr über das jeweilige Ergebnis!

P L A N S: Wenn ich auf 2016 gucke, dann bin ich aufgeregt und kann es kaum erwarten. Bereits der Januar beginnt mit einem tollen Projekt in Florenz, der Fashion Week in Berlin, einer Woche London mit ASOS und einem großartigen Projekt in der Karibik! Ich war noch nie in der Karibik und wünschte, ich könnte euch bereits mehr erzählen! Anschließend kommt dann der New York, Mailand, London, Paris Marathon für die internationalen Fashionweeks und hinterher erfüllt sich endlich meine Wunschreise nach Tulum. Wir mussten unsere Pläne wegen verschiedener Projekte im Dezember absagen und somit ist die Vorfreude auf März nun besonders groß. Und nach dem Urlaub geht’s für mein absolutes Highlight des Jahres in die Nähe nach LA… Könnt ihr raten warum?:) Ich bin jedenfalls unglaublich gespannt auf das kommende Jahr und freue mich so, so sehr euch auf alles mitnehmen zu können!

An dieser Stelle muss ich natürlich noch ein großes fettes Dankeschön an meinen lieben Alex loswerden! Vielen Dank dein Vertrauen in mich, meinen verrückten Kopf und meine Visionen und dafür, dass du alle meine Träume ernst nimmst und mir hilfst sie Realität werden zu lassen. Ich bin unendlich stolz auf dich, deinen Mut und deine Leistungen und bin gerührt, dass du dich für ohhcouture von einem verbissenen Karrieretier zu einem leidenschaftlichen Fotografen (und Mann am Glätteeisen ;)) entwickelt hast, der die Welt erkundet! Wie ihr euch bestimmt denken könnt, ist das, was Alex zu ohhcouture beisteuert mehr als das, was man auf den ersten Blick sieht und muss daher an dieser Stelle unbedingt erwähnt werden! Um es mit Avatar-Sprache auszudrücken – Ich sehe dich!:) Im nächsten Jahr möchte ich versuchen noch mehr zu genießen und kein verrückter Sorgenkopf zu sein, ich verspreche es!
