Monday Update #14

Monday Update #14

Hello my dear ones, another week has past and once more I am writing a Monday update on the plane – it is starting to become a tradition. ðŸ™‚

R E V I E W: Most of last week I spent in Dallas. I lived in Chicago for a couple of months and I have visited Miami, New York, Boston and Los Angeles. However, Dallas has been a completely new experience. My first impression of the city was that it is very American. When I arrived in Dallas in the evening I was very tired because of the time difference. It was shortly after 6 pm and we had decided to stay up for a while longer so we went for a walk to find a coffee shop and get some coffein in our systems. We tried three different Starbucks shops until we  finally had to accept that there were no stores open after 6 pm – and that was the middle of the week. Also, it felt as if we were the only people out on the streets. The streets were large but deserted and we did not see a single soul walking around. The next day, when we were walking around looking for an ice cream shop – it was at least 30° celsius, so our motivation was high – we were actually stopped by the police and asked what we were doing straying around. 🙂

Back to serious business: in Dallas I attended the rewardStyle bloggers’ conference, where I met many bloggers from all over the world and visited interesting Class Rooms on different topics such as YouTube, Instagram, etc. After we had been travelling so much in the past few months during which I met many international bloggers, it was nice to see some familiar faces again. Different brands such as Lusia Via Roma and Missguided had organized parties and dinners and I had four unforgettable days collecting new impressions and meeting amazing people.

Next to all the presentations, Class Rooms and parties I had some time to explore Dallas. I fell in love the most with the quarter Depp Ellum and the 42 Murals project. To valorize the area, numerous artists painted walls and Alex and I strolled through the area, tried small restaurants such as Drugstore Cowboy (advocado toast ;)) and enjoyed the beautiful weather. During that little excursion we also took the photographs in front of the US flag and the floral wall. ðŸ™‚

P L A N S: This week will be especially exciting. After years I am finally back in LA and I cannot wait to explore the city anew. The first nights I will spend with Alex and my friend Tamara in a hotel in West Hollywood before we will move into a FeWo apartment. I look forward to the apartment the most because I love having a proper “home” especially when I am on a long trip. And on the weekend we will finally head to Palm Springs for the Coachella festival. All my life I have loved dancing – I did hip hop and ballroom dancing for years – and maybe that’s why I am so thrilled to be at the  Coachella. The people, the atmosphere, the music, the parties – I have been dreaming about going to the Coachella festival and I cannot believe that it is happening in only a few days. I finally got a new mobile phone contract and will be able to upload tons of pictures and snaps!

N E W  I N: Since I have been to London numerous times in the past months, I am more and more thrilled about the Heathrow Airport – most of all the shopping terminal, terminal 5, really enhances my travelling!:)  This time we flew from London to Dallas and therefore one could shop without paying taxes not only when it came to perfumes and chocolate but also regarding Chanel, Gucci, etc. And because I am so completely in love with my Gucci Dionysus purse, I decided to get the purse of my dreams for the upcoming exciting trips: the Bloomy Dionysus – and I am in love, head over heels! Also, I fell for several pieces at Storets such as a blouse with rushings and a very special pair of jeans. I will order online at Storets for the first time – I am very excited! 🙂 For Coachella I also bought a lacerated pair of jeans during the Shopbop sale and a skirt with fringes. I am already excited to see all the outfits at the Coachella!

I wish y’all (still living the Texan spirit) an amazing April week and send you lots of sun from LA. xx Leonie
