Monday Update #53

Monday Update #53

Hiiii loves, I already told you last week that Alex and I spent some quality time in Greece. After our wonderful time on Mykonos, we headed to our beloved Santorini. We know our way around on Santorini pretty well by now and therefore I thought that it would be the perfect place to shoot a couple of projects that will come online within the next days.

In general it was so great to come back here and already know all the places that we wanted to revisit and all our favorite restaurants! We had a wonderful time and it broke my heart to leave beautiful Greece again. After Greece the German “summer” hit us hard! From Santorini we wanted to fly to Munich from where we were supposed to head to the Tegernsee for a special project. However, our connection flight from Stuttgart to Munich was cancelled due to a funnel cloud over the airport in Munich. We ended up having to take a taxi to Munich to get there in time. Again, when we wanted to fly back to Hamburg from Munich the next day, our flight was hours delayed because the plane had simply too much fun floundering about at the Berlin airport, where it was supposed to arrive from.

However, the day we spend at the Tegernsee made up for all the waiting at airports! System Professional had invited us to the Lanserhof, one of the most renowned placed for wellness and relaxation in Europe, to tell us more about a new hair care approach of theirs: Energy Coding. I must say I am a bit of a Poopy Delevingne fan and she and her sister Chloe – both sisters of Cara Delevingne – are ambassadors for System Professional. Both also attended the event at the Lanserhof and told us more about Energy Coding. Energy Coding is all about learning about your personal hair’s characteristics and then individually adjust your hair care to meet your individual hair’s needs. After consulting with a professional hair specialist you get your own hair code that tells you which products are best for you out of 174 million possible combinations of products. Especially for an international brand such as System Professionals that provides hair care for women all around the globe and with such different nourishment needs for their hair, I think that this is a very smart approach! I for example had just come back from Greece and my hair felt dry and had also changed its color a bit after all the time in the sun and in the pool. Also, my hair line was in desperate need of some volume! In general I have rather thin and fine hair and thus need a hair care that attends to these features. After I got my personal hair code at the Lanserhof, two stylists groomed my hair and I must say without jealousy that my hair has never looked nicer! Even Alex, who is usually in charge of my wavy hair (the man has many talents), had to run his hands through my hair over and over again because it was sooo smooth! 😉 Naturally I got tons of advise from the specialists on how to take care of my hair at home and at the salon and I will start using the products at home now. I cannot wait to see what it will do for my hair! I am a bit of a hair obsessor but I have been a bit lax with hair care in the past. No more of that!

On the weekend I had a chance to display my new hair style because one of my best friends from home got married. <3 We were supposed to fly to the Calvi on Rocks in Corsica but a wedding is such a once in a life time event and I didn’t want to miss it – so work had to be put in second place for once!

P L A N S:

We just arrived in Paris where the Haute Couture is taking place at the moment. My week will be divided in two this week: first the Haute Couture and then we will fly to Italy for a special project with Furla. I won’t spoil the fun by telling you where exactly we will be heading just yet, but I can tell you this: I’ve been there before and it is one of my favorite places in Europe! However, first things first. I am super happy to be back in Paris for an Haute Couture project with Elie Saab and Shiseido. I’ve been to Cannes with Elie Saab before and I am excited to work with the brand again! Alex and I arrived a day early because of a Dior event that we wouldn’t want to miss!

N E W   I N:

I am a sale junkie and I found this beautiful Faithfull dress that I had wanted to take to Greece with me but it didn’t make it in time. Now I took it with me to Paris and I am planning on wearing it A LOT! 🙂 Also, I found these gorgeous Chloé sandals on sale and Chloé is always a good idea! <3 xx Leonie

P L A N S:

N E W   I N:

Beautiful photos and incredible stories! You’re really “living the life” to the fullest!
I also got bit of hair damage after spending a month under the burning sun and in the sea.
I have realised that a very good conditioner and some oils have helped me a lot in keeping my
    hair less dry.

Love your Monday updates, always so intrigued to see what you’ve been doing and what you’ve got planned. I’d be interested to know how you plan your schedule. Does someone help you with that and how far in advance do you prepare things? `Is this something you could share in a post maybe? The logistics must be really complicated but you seem to fit so much in.
