While we are all staying in, it’s more important than ever for us to create beautiful, uplifting spaces at home to ensure we feel as happy and inspired as possible. The Danish definitely got it right with their concept of ‘Hygge’. It basically means creating a mood of cosy comfort and feeling content with the simple things in life. Something we can all benefit from now!

Waking up to a fresh, clean and uncluttered bedroom is my first piece of advice for starting your day with a clear mind. White furniture and mirrored surfaces create the illusion that you have more space – unless your room is super messy! I like to use cute jewellery boxes and trinket dishes to keep things looking more organised.
Aside from the bedroom, cosy home comforts are made up of the three ‘C’s’: Coffee, cushions and candles! Coffee obviously comes first because it sets you up for the day ahead. Along with açai bowls, of course ;).
Once you have made your delicious coffee (or tea, whatever you prefer!), it’s important that you take a moment to enjoy it. For the first time ever, we don’t have to rush anywhere so instead of your normal commute to the office, I recommend getting comfortable in the beautiful morning sunlight.

To create the perfect cosy space, you’ll need cushions – as many as possible! But remember that blankets, throws and cushions tend to be better in neutral tones. A fun statement piece always seems like a good idea… until you’re trying to match it with the furniture! Here are a few of my favourites :).
Last but not least, candles. Nothing says relaxation like the comforting scent of a luxury candle, just don’t overdo it and clutter your space with too many! Unlike with the blankets and cushions, minimalism is key.
There is just something so satisfying about shopping for your home! My go-to homeware brands are definitely Anthropologie, Matches Fashion and Westwing. What are the cosy home comforts that you enjoy the most? <3
