Trend Alert: Hair Accessories

As you guys know, I love experimenting with hair accessories! Even a subtle change can make a huge difference to your outfit. From layering cute hairpins to a bold hair clip that speaks for itself (sometimes literally!), here are my favourite trends right now.

HAIR PINS

Delicate, embellished hairpins can be worn alone or added to a simple ponytail for an instant touch of glamour. I would suggest wearing them with an up-do so they don’t slide out during the day!

For the last Dior show, I had an amazing hairstylist and I asked her whether we could stack up a fun hairpin look. Of course, I had already been collecting my accessories for this but there are always some fun new ones in the boutique.

This pretty Chanel style is still available but sadly you cant shop it online, though I found some similar options below.

For bobby pins, it’s all about the layering! Elegant, dainty grips are perfect in groups of two or three.

You can also style a more high-end hair pin with simple and understated pins to mix and match more affordable options. Or if you are looking for a little personalisation I found some fun slides from Lelet NY with my initials, which was a nice surprise!

Otherwise, some days it’s nice to keep things simple and just opt for all gold and silver pins. Or even black, if you’re feeling in a more edgy mood.

HAIR CLIPS

Statement hair clips come in all shapes and sizes, to suit all hair types. There are so many beautiful branded clips like this pink Gucci one, which can quickly elevate your look without being super expensive. If you don’t want to go for something too large, you can always downsize like I did with the Prada clips.

HEADBANDS

I think Blair Waldorf would agree that headbands will always be stylish. Even when they weren’t a ‘current’ trend, they never really went out of fashion. Which is good news for us, because they can take a look from casual to chic in a matter of seconds, like this cool Prada headband.
