COLOUR MOODS | BLUE

Blue Colour Moods collage

Hi loves! I wanted to start posting more colour moods especially as you guys loved the pink feature so much! I’ve chosen a blue blue for this month’s colour mood as it’s one of my all-time fave colours and is always super fresh. From pastel to cobalt there is a blue shade for everyone!

I find that mixing tones and creating a monochromatic look is the best way to style blue, you can play around with cooler tones such as powder and sky blues or warm tones such as azure and cobalt. I know most people tend to turn to black but I think navy is a fantastic alternative and isn’t quite as harsh.

The easiest way to incorporate blue into your wardrobe is with denim, something I’m sure you already have plenty of! Try mixing it up with a range of washes like this pair from Frame. You can even experiment with bleached denim and frays if you’re feeling bold. If denim isn’t your style there are plenty of great pant alternatives like these blue leather pants from Remain that I own personally and love so much!

I find accessories the easiest way to introduce colour. If you prefer a subtle toned or neutral colour palette for your clothing, you can easily spice things up with bright accessories like this Balenciaga bag or Bottega Veneta sandals. These Adidas trainers are also fab, for a more casual vibe.

Blouses are also super versatile. While they can be paired with your denim, you can also dress them up with a skirt and heels like these from Dior for a sophisticated summer look. As you know I will forever love a Lady Dior bag… I recently spotted the new Ombre version which is so so pretty.

As we still have a little chill in the air, it still sometimes calls for a coat (as much as I’m hoping for warmer weather soon). I paired these blue leather trousers from Remain with a cosy sweater from The Bazilika and strappy Wandler sandals, finishing the look with a cool structured coat from The Frankie Shop. Their coats are always a little oversized which is perfect for adding chunky sweaters underneath!
