It’s been quite a while since I took the last pictures in my hometown H a m b u r g . There are quite some reasons for that, mainly rain, rain and well… rain. 😉 Just kidding (and obviously a little exaggerating) but lately I’ve been a little unfortune with the weather situation in North Germany. As soon as I leave the airplane in Hamburg, I feel the cold windy breeze and it seems that as soon as I arrive in Hamburg, the weather seems to get bad. Or the weather is always quite bad and I forget this tiny fact when traveling. 😉 Despite the weather, Hamburg is such a beautiful city and is often named one of the top cities to live in Germany and even when comparing cities around the world. When River Island asked me to do a little Hamburg guide, I directly felt in love with the idea. Even though it was not bright sunshine, it was a summerly day in Hamburg and I headed to the city center. Growing up I lived in the North of Hamburg, always feeling attracted by the “big city life”. I used to buy myself a train ticket and when I approached the city center I felt like a happy child. Still, when spending a few days in Hamburg, I love to come back to the city center. I get an ice cream and stroll along the Alster (when the weather is good ;)) or I do some shopping near Neuer Wall, Jungfernstieg and Mönckebergstraße. After a successful shopping trip I love to meet friends for an early dinner. A good place to get some nice sweet potato fries, burgers and a fresh lemonade is Atelier F, which is directly next to the water and so close to the best boutiques. It also has some maple tables so you might find this one all over Instagram. 😉 I also like Burgerlab. They only have a small assortment, but you order your meal with a laptop which is somehow fun and very uncomplicated. 😉 When looking for an after work drink, I love to go to Le Lion. It’s the place where I had one of my first dates with Alex. He loves the Gin Basil Smash which was invented here and even though it’s not my typical kind of bar I love to visit, just for the memories. 😉 When shooting my favorites shots for River Island, I was wearing a River Island off shoulder top with a floral print, a cute bow choker and some high waisted denim shorts. I paired my J. W. Anderson bag and Miu Miu ballerinas which work so well together! 😉 xx Leonie

Die Bluse ist wirklich richtig schön und das ganze Outfit gefällt mir sehr gut. Hamburg ist wirklich eine schöne Stadt, zu der ich liebend gerne immer wieder reise, jedoch mit dem besten Wetter ist sie wirklich nicht gesegnet 😉

Wunderschöner Look Leonie! Ach, ich liebe River Island, sobald ich den Laden irgendwo sehe, bin ich ganz schnell drin. Ich hoffe, dass es ihn auch bald in Hamburg gibt*-* Eigentlich liebe ich aber alle englische Fashionketten, vor allem auch Topshop. Immer wenn ich in der Mönckebergstraße bin, schaue ich bei Karstadt in die Topshop-Abteilung. Die Abteilung kann natürlich nicht mit dem Laden im Oxfort-Circus mithalten, aber besser als nix;D Die Süßkartoffelpommes von Atelier f sind einfach unschlagbar, zum frühstücken kann ich dir die nord coast coffee roastery ans Herz legen (es gibt auch Avocado-Brot*-*)
Übrigens ich kaufe mir immer noch mein Ticket in die Innenstadt und freue mich jedes Mal tierisch;D

Ich habe übers Wochenende eine Freundin in Hamburg besucht und war zum ersten Mal dort. Wir waren auch im Atelier F essen und natürlich habe ich Süßkartoffelpommes gegessen, die waren echt suuuuper lecker! Ich habe mich wirklich sofort in Hamburg verliebt und finde die Atmosphäre und die Lebendigkeit der Stadt einfach total ansteckend und “inspirierend”! Ich hatte schon für längere Zeit überlegt, ein Praktikum in Hamburg zu machen und wurde jetzt nur noch mehr bestätigt, dass das die richtige Wahl wäre! 🙂
