Monday Update #39

My dear ones, naturally I will tell you all about my short but eventful trip to Dubai soon in an extensive travel guide, but I wanted to write a short Monday Update today none the less.

– R E V I E W –

Despite the fact that most of my Asia trips had a stop over in Dubai, up until now I had never left the airport. That is why I was very happy to be part of a project inviting influencer from all over the world to Dubai. For example Kenzas from Sweden was there at the same time as me (and to be honest I kind of fell in love with her).

We only stayed for four nights but Dubai Tourisms had planned an extensive program for us. At some point we had to cancel events from the program because it was a bit too ambitious. 😉 Overall it was an amazing experience to be part of a big campaign like this and to represent Germany in it. Most influencer came to Dubai at different times but it was still nice to see some familiar faces again. I don’t want to give away too much yet and I will start working on my travel guide instead. J From Dubai I headed directly to Frankfurt, where I worked on a still secret project. I can already tell you that I will design my own product. It is such an amazing experience and overall a teenage dream of mine come true!

Afterwards I flew back to Hamburg. Most of friends and family members have their birthdays around Christmas (two of my favorite friends on the 24^th!). Thus I had a bit of a birthday marathon! Originally we had planned on flying right on to Paris then for one last pre-Christmas project but we spontaneously decided to push the trip back one day to be able to surprise my mom on her birthday. I am a very bad liar and it nearly broke my heart to act as if we were going to miss her special day but the surprise was even better when we suddenly stood on her doorstep this morning.

Still drowsy from all the cake I am sitting in the place to Paaaaaaaris now together with my sister Laura and Alex.

It is no secret that I loooooove Paris! And when we were approached for a Christmassy project I immediately thought that I would love to visit the city of love so close before Christmas. When I was in the city for the Victoria’s Secret Show everything was already rather nicely decorated but I did not have a lot of time to enjoy the pre-Christmas atmosphere. Also, I had always wanted to fly to Paris with my younger sister and I am very excited to be able to take her along. Once we arrive, I will use our first hour there to walk to the twinkling Eiffel Tower with her! 🙂

After Paris we will fly back home for Christmas because for me Christmas is always reserved for my family and I am looking forward to a couple of quiet days with my them already!

For me the weeks before Christmas are predestined for browsing through online shops and therefore I did some extra shopping before the holidays. For Dubai I ordered a white lace dress by Freepeople and a striped blouse at Asos. Also, as I already mentioned before, I ordered embroidered booties with a great print in blush shades for a great price! For Christmas I got a Gucci shirt by Net-a-Porter – a great piece, especially since I don’t own a lot of print shirts but they are a great basic that can be combined in so many different ways. You can also find all my new favorites in the Shop Section of the blog, which I plan on updating more frequently again now (first New Year’s resolution this year!). 🙂

Ihr Lieben, obwohl ich euch natürlich noch in einem umfassenderen Dubai Travelguide von meinem kurzem aber extrem ereignisreichen Dubai Trip erzählen werde, gibt es heute schon ein kleines Monday Update.

– R E V I E W –

Obwohl gefühlt jeder Stop-over nach Asien in Dubai statt findet, war ich noch nie in Dubai. Umso mehr habe ich mich gefreut Teil eines tollen Projektes zu sein, aus dem Influencer aus den unterschiedlichsten Ländern nach Dubai eingeladen wurden. Ich war bspw. gleichzeitig mit Kenzas aus Schweden dort, in die ich mich ehrlich gesagt schockverliebt habe.

Wir waren nur vier Nächte vor Ort, hatten aber von Dubai Tourismus ein umfassendes Programm erhalten und musste irgendwann sogar Programmpunkte streichen, da es echt ambitioniert war. 😉 Es war jedenfalls eine super coole Erfahrung, Teil einer so großen Kampagne zu sein und Deutschland in diesem Projekt zu vertreten. Die meisten Blogger und Instagramer kamen zeitversetzt, aber es war sehr schön bekannte Gesichter aus den verschiedensten Ländern wieder zu sehen. Ich will jetzt aber noch gar nicht zu viel vorweg nehmen und erzähle euch in dem Travelguide alles im Detail. 🙂

Von Dubai aus ging es dann direkt nach Frankfurt, wo ich an einem noch geheimen Projekt arbeite. Ich kann euch aber schon verraten, dass ich mein eigenes Produkt designe! Es ist eine soooo tolle Erfahrung und ein Mädchentraum der damit wahr wird!

Hinterher ging es dann zurück nach Hamburg. Viele meiner Freunde und Familienmitglieder haben um Weihnachten herum Geburtstag (gleich zwei meiner liebsten Freundinnen sogar am 24.!) und so hatte ich einen kleinen Geburtstags-Marathon! Eigentlich wollten wir direkt weiter nach Paris für ein letztes vorweihnachtliches Projekt, haben uns aber spontan entschieden das Datum heimlich zu schieben, so dass wir meine Mama an ihrem Geburtstag überraschen konnten. Ich bin ein unheimlich schlechter Lügner und es hat mir fast das Herz gebrochen so zu tun als wäre ich schon in Paris, aber umso größer war die Freude, als wir heute morgen plötzlich in der Heimat vor der Tür standen.

Halb im Torten-Koma sitze ich jetzt mit meiner kleinen Schwester Laura und Alex im Flugzeug auf dem Weg nach Paaaaaris.

Es ist glaube ich kein Geheimnis wie sehr ich Paris liebe! Und als wir für eine weihnachtliche Kampagne angefragt wurden, hatte ich direkt Lust Paris so kurz vor Weihnachten zu besuchen. Schon vor der Victoria’s Secret Show sah alles so schön dekoriert aus und ich wollte damals schon unbedingt noch etwas die vorweihnachtliche Atmosphäre genießen. Außerdem wollte ich schon immer mal mit meiner kleinen Schwester nach Paris und ich freue mich unheimlich, dass ich sie mitnehmen kann. Sobald wir angekommen sind, werde ich die erste volle Stunde nutzen, um mit ihr zum blinkenden Eiffelturm zu laufen!:)

Danach geht es dann in die Heimat, da Weihnachten für mich der Familie gehört und ich freue mich unendlich über ein paar besinnliche Tage mit meinen liebsten!

Die Vorweihnachtszeit ist einfach prädestiniert dafür online Shops zu durchforsten und so habe ich so kurz vorm Fest noch ein wenig geshoppt. Für Dubai hatte ich mir bei Asos ein weißes Kleid mit Spitze von Freepeople und eine Bluse mit Streifen und ausgestellten Saum bestellt. Außerdem habe ich wie neulich schon kurz erwähnt bestickte Stiefeletten mit tollen Print in Blush Tönen bestellt, die einen wirklich fairen Preis haben! Zu Weihnachten gab es dann noch ein Gucci Shirt von Net-A-Porter – Ein super Teil, grade da ich wenig Print Shirts habe und sie sich häufig so toll kombinieren lassen. Alle meinen neuen Favoriten findet ihr auch in meinem Shop-Bereich, den ich endlich wieder regelmäßig updaten kann! 🙂
